Tissue collection.

The problem you already know
If you've been told your choices are a synthetic implant or a 12-hour flap surgery, you already know neither one feels right. Implants are foreign objects that often need replacing. Flap procedures take tissue from another part of your body, leaving scars and long recovery times. Many women walk away from reconstruction altogether. We believe you deserve a better option.
A personalized implant made from your own cells.
ReConstruct Bio is developing a new approach to reconstruction. Tissue is collected through a minimally invasive liposuction procedure. That tissue is used to create a living implant outside the body. During surgery, the implant is placed and connected to blood vessels using established microsurgical techniques, allowing it to integrate with your body as living tissue. Your cells. A personalized implant. No large donor-site surgery. Built to last.
In plain language. Three steps, designed around your time, your body, and your recovery.

Traditional implants are made of silicone or saline and are foreign materials placed in the body. The BioImplant is created from your own cells and designed to integrate with your body as living tissue.
Flap surgery transfers tissue from another part of your body, such as the abdomen or back, which can involve a long and complex procedure with recovery at both the breast and donor site. The BioImplant is created from your own cells outside the body and placed using microsurgical techniques, without transferring large amounts of tissue from another area.
Breast reconstruction after mastectomy is covered under federal law (WHCRA). We are working with insurers to ensure coverage for the BioImplant.
